It is a small hardware device that plugs into a computer and serves as an adapter or as a security measure to enable the use of certain software. The usual function of a dongle is to authenticate a piece of software. Without it the software will run only in a restricted mode,or not at all.

The CaptainDongle connects to the Captain receiver / set-top box (STB) and is connected to a constant internet source to receive updates,weather information,many cool games (which will be soon added)and much more.

The Dongle is portable and connects by serial port which also requires power (short serial cable and power cable included).
