The Panamax PM8DBS-EX (Powermax 8 DBS) is capable of protecting up to 8 AC lines, two satellite lines, 1 non-satellite coaxial line, and one single phone line. The unit has 8 electrical outlets switched via an on/off switch. The outlets are spaced to allow room for transformers. The unit is plugged into a wall outlet via a space saving right-angle plug, and has a 6 foot cord. The Panamax PM8DBS-EX also has a ground ok and a Protection/Power on light.

The PM8DBS-EX has 2 RJ11 modular phone jacks and protects pins 3 and 4. The clamping level is 260V, and the capacitance is about 30pf. A 4 foot phone cord is included.
